 | Music ministry at FUMC Gulfport incorporates many people who serve to provide music for worship and other special events. Their service is through the chancel choir, handbell choir (Jubilate’), ensembles, soloists and instrumentalists. We are committed to strive for excellence in all that we do to glorify God and sincerely hope that our music will be pleasing to Him. |
The Chancel Choir meets weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00 - 8:30 and sings in worship each Sunday and other occasions as needed for special services (including Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter, and during our annual Gospel Sing in August). Smaller ensembles are formed to provide additional music for worship and other special events.
Jubilate’, our handbell choir also meets weekly on Wednesdays at 6:00 and plays in worship about once a month. While ringing 4 octaves of bells, we are always in need of extra players on occasion.
